Naresh Meena, accused of slapping an RAS officer and organising arson in Samrawta village during Deoli-Uniara by-elections -2024, has been finally granted bail.
This was the third time, bail petition was filed before the High Court. On previous two occasions, the petition was rejected.
Meena had already been granted bail in the case of slapping RAS officer Amit Choudhary, who is serving as SDM Malpura under which the booth of Samrawta falls.
Meena had slapped Choudhary accusing him of forcing reluctant villagers to cast votes. Villagers had boycotted voting in the by-elections.
Following the incident, Naresh Meena and his supporters carried on arson and put government property on fire.
The RAS Association had called for strike demanding arrest of Meena, who had beaten up SDM on poll duty.
Now after bail of Naresh Meena, president of RAS Association Mahaveer Kharadi said that the association will study the court's decision before taking any stand.
“Our executive body will first study the order and then after discussion, we will take appropriate action,” Kharadi told The BuckStopper.
