2 IPS, 1 IAS promoted in Bihar

Nitish government in Bihar has promoted two and one IAS officer. The two police officers – Sunil Kumar Jha and – have been promoted from ADG to DG rank. Both the officers are from 1993 batch and are currently on central deputation.

Sunil Kumar Jha is currently serving as director general, fire services, civil defence and home guards. He is set to retire in January 2027. 

Arvind Kumar is serving as special director Intelligence bureau in union home ministry. 

C K Anil Kumar promoted

 At the same time, IAS officer of 1991 batch CK Anil Kumar has been promoted to the rank of Principal Secretary. He is serving as chief advisor in Bihar Planning Board. 

Kumar, who is credited to have destroyed the fiefdom of strongman Mohammed Shahabuddin as district magistrate of Siwan, had run into several controversies delaying his promotions. His batchmates are serving in the chief secretary level while he has been promoted as principal secretary level. 

Kumar had remained absconding for some time when his name had cropped up in the question paper leak scandal in the clerical level competitive examination conducted by the Bihar Staff Selection Commission (BSSC).

Kumar found himself again in trouble when Patna chief judicial magistrate had issued a non bailable warrant against him in a case involving of computer and other files from the offices of Biscomaun, a state level agriculture marketing cooperative federation.
