Pinki Meena, a 2017 batch Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officer, is among few officer, who has been posted thrice in less than two months after her reinstatement in service following suspension on bribery case.
In June 26, she was posted as Assistant Director Assistant Director of Administrative Reforms Department, Sawai Madhopur soon after reinstatement in service. But after less than two months on August 11, 2026, she was transferred as Assistant Collector in Dausa – the same district where she was suspended after getting
arrested by Anti Corruption Bureau in 2021. She was then serving as SDM Bandikui (Dausa). She was caught along with fellow RAS officer Pushkar Mittal, who was SDM of Dausa. Pinki Meena had allegedly demanded Rs 10 lakh while Pushkar Mittal allegedly demanded Rs 5 lakh from Delhi-Mumbai Express construction company. And now after three days, Pinki Meena has again been put on awaiting posting order (APO).
Why Pinki Meena was given field posting even after corruption charges?
When an officer is facing corruption charges, it is pertinent not to post the officer in field. The officer on reinstatement, if not exonerated from charges, is given office posting where there is no public dealing. So what made the government to give her field posting and now send her on APO.
“Such unwarranted actions are not good for the morale of officers. She should not have been given field posting in the first place. That too in the district where she was arrested,” said a senior IAS officer.
Despite being suspended together Pushkar Mittal was reinstated early
Pinki Meena and Pushkar Mittal were arrested together on January 13, 2021 and were suspended together immediately. However, Pinki Meena got bail from High Court earlier than Pushkar Mittal, who got bail three months later.
Pushkar Mittal, though, reinstated in July 2025, 10 months earlier than Pinki Meena, who was reinstated in May 2026. Mittal after reinstatement got field posting as SDM Manoharthana (Jhalawar) against the unwritten rule of posting a reinstated officer on non significant post.
