Shankar Chaudhary, a 2011 batch IPS of AGMUT cadre, posted in Mizoram, has been reported missing. The state police has launched search operation for the officer.
A native of Jharkhand, Chaudhary is posted as officer on special duty (OSD) at the police headquarters in Aizawl.
Accordingly to sources, Chaudhary had taken leave for over 105 days since April till July 15 this year and the state police department does not know his whereabouts and an inquiry is being conducted.
Meanwhile, the departed has issued his posting order appointing him as deputy inspector general of police (training), but he had not joined his new posting.
