Chaitra V, an IAS officer of 2007 batch from Uttar Pradesh cadre, has filed a police complaint against her husband's business partner Naren Raj for mentally harassing her.
Naren Raj is hotel business partner of her husband, G Harish Kumar. The FIR was registered at Alambagh police station based on her allegations.
In her complaint, Chaitra V, who is currently serving as the Director General of Youth Welfare and PRD Department in Uttar Pradesh, alleged that after the business suffered losses, Naren Raj began pressuring her to arrange meetings with prominent hotel entrepreneurs. When she refused, he allegedly started mentally harassing her.
Chaitra V said the harassment has continued for several weeks, impacting both her professional and personal life. She claimed that her work and mental well-being have been affected due to the situation.
Alambagh police station in-charge Subhash Saroj confirmed the registration of the FIR and said that all aspects of the case are under investigation. Police are collecting evidence, recording statements, and further action will be taken once the inquiry is complete.

Chaitra V is native of Bangaluru. She is a 2007 batch IAS officer from Uttar Pradesh cadre. She has served as collector and district magistrate of Siddhartha Nagar, Hapur, Kasganj, Lalitpur and Hathras. She has also served in Karnataka on inter state deputation for five years. She has also served as managing director of western electric supply nigam. She is a commerce graduate with masters in political science and ICWAI (inter).
