Two lady officers of Madhya Pradesh cadre have caught the public glare. One for being humble and the other for being pompous and show off.
Sanskriti Jain, a 2015 batch IAS officer, chose to act like an ancient queen and opted to sit on a gold-coloured ‘shahi paalki' (royal palanquin) lifted by her subordinate staff members and others on their shoulders at her farewell. She also made her two young daughters sit with her during the ride.
Jain, who served as collector of Seoni district, was transferred and posted as Commissioner of the Bhopal Municipal Corporation (BMC).
While she was conveniently sitting in the palki, her subordinate staff employees, along with members of the public, walked along taking turns in lifting the paalki on their shoulders with famous Bollywood song playing in the background

The other lady officer, who remained grounded was Vaishali Jain, was the Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) in Rewa and transferred to Ratlam. Her subordinate and public in general wanted to weigh ladoos equal to her weight. They refuted her to sit on one side of weighing machine with laddus on the other side of the scale. But she politely turned down the request winning appreciation from all quarters.
She simply bowed in front of the weighing scale with folded hands and thanked everyone for the gesture.
