Uttar Pradesh government has elevated four IAS officers – Lakko Venkateshwarlu, BL Meena, Narendra Bhushan and Anurag Srivastava – to the rank of additional chief secretary.
Of these, Venkateshwarlu and Meena are from 1991 batch while Narendra Bhushan and Anurag Srivastava of 1992 batch.
Venteshwaralu is posted in the Social Welfare Department while Meena is serving in the horticulture and food processing department.
Narendra Bhushan is posted in the Energy Department while Anurag Srivastava in the Namami Gange and Rural Water Supply Department.
However, Rajesh Kumar Singh, a 1991 batch officer, has not yet received the designation of Additional Chief Secretary. In fact, after the Supreme Court's strong remarks, he was removed from many departments, including prison, in September last year. On January 2 this year, he was posted as Principal Secretary in the Home Guard Department.
