BIP commissioner Rohit Gupta goes on study leave

At a time when industry department is busy in implementing the investment commitments on ground, Rohit Gupta, Commissoner of Bureau of Investment Promotion (BIP), the nodal agency which organised , has headed for a 3-month study leave. 

Gupta has been granted leave so that he could pursue doctorate (Ph.D) from Princeton , New Jersey. 

Gupta had been on long leave four times before and had completed Master's degree in Public Policy.

A graduate in electrical engineering, Gupta is considered a bright and result oriented officer. The state will have to replace him with officer of equal calibre for smooth implementation MoUs signed in Rising .

Rohit Gupta was also holding the charge of commissioner industries. In his absence, RIICO managing director , has been given additional charge of BIP commissioner while Akash Tomar, executive director, RIICO will take care of the charge of commissioner industries.
