Former IAS officer Jitendra Kumar, who retired in June this year, passed away on Sunday.
Jitendra Kumar, a 1990 batch IAS officer of UP cadre, was suffering from cancer. He was admitted to the PGI on Friday night as his condition worsened. He breathed his last at around 12 noon on Sunday during treatment.
Jitendra Kumar is survived by his wife Seema Gupta, two daughters and a son. His last rites were performed at Bhaisakund.
During this, former minister Mohsin Raza, advisor to the Chief Minister Awanish Awasthi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Secretary SP Goel, Chairman of the Revenue Council Anil Kumar, Additional Chief Secretary Finance and IIDC Deepak Kumar, Principal Secretary Panchayati Raj Anil Kumar, Principal Secretary Vocational Education Dr. Hariom, Principal Secretary Planning Alok Kumar and Head of Forest Sunil Chaudhary were present on the occasion.
