Bihar government is bracing up for a massive administrative reshuffle with the change in guard. The cabinet expansion is also on the cards.
The General Administration Department is mobilising the details of the posting of IAS officers for this.
In the new government, preparations are being made for the transfer according to the achievements and efficiency of the officers.
According to departmental sources, the new government has prioritised monitoring up to the police station, block and zone level at the chief minister's secretariat level to sensitise the administration towards the rights of the common man. For this, there is preparation for deploying competent officers in the districts and transferring officers who failed to solve the problems. Under this, new district magistrates will be posted in many districts.
16 new IAS will also be available in May-June
According to information, the state government will also get 16 new IAS officers in May-June this year. These will be the officers to be promoted from the Bihar Administrative Service to the Indian Administrative Service. At present, the total sanctioned posts of IAS officers in the state are 359. At present, 310 IAS officers are working in these.
