The Himachal Pradesh government transferred 18 IAS officers and 16 Himachal Administrative Service (HAS) officers in a major administrative rejig.
Among IAS officer Dr Abhishek Jain, a 2002 batch IAS officer has been made powerful. He has been given charge of Financial Commissioner (Appeals).
Jain will continue to serve as Advisor (Regulatory Reforms) and Principal Secretary of the Finance, Planning, Economics & Statistics, 20-Point Programme, Jal Shakti Vibhag (JSV), and Technical Education departments.
Similarly, Sudesh Kumar Mokta, a 2010-batch officer, who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Secretary, Cooperation Department in place of Amarjeet Singh, who has been relieved of the Cooperation portfolio.
Singh will continue as Secretary, Town & Country Planning and Housing, while retaining the additional charge of the Home Department.
