The Karnataka state government has ordered the transfer of 5 IAS officers with immediate effect in the interest of administration. The major changes include the transfer of Zilla Panchayat Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of three districts and Commissioners of two corporations.
T. Mahantesh, Under Secretary to the Government, Personnel and Administrative Reforms Department, has issued a notification in this regard.
Gitte Madhav Vitthal Rao, who was CEO of Davangere Zilla Panchayat, has been transferred as CEO of Bidar Zilla Panchayat replacing Dr. Girish Dilip BadoleCEO.
Zubin Mohapatra, who was Commissioner of Raichur Municipal Corporation, has been appointed as CEO of Yadgir Zilla Panchayat P Rahul Tukaram.
Similarly, Sahitya M. Aladakatti, who was Senior Assistant Commissioner of Kalaburagi Sub-Division, has been transferred as the new CEO of Davangere Zilla Panchayat.
Election Commission approval mandatory
Since the Special Voters List Revision (SIR) work is currently underway, the government order has clarified that the transfer of Zubin Mohapatra and Sahitya M. Aladakatti is subject to the final approval of the Election Commission of India.
