IPS Bhanu Pratap Singh, who is serving as Khagaria SP, is facing serious allegations from his wife, Pooja, who is said to have attempted to commit suicide a few days back.
Pooja alleged that she is being subjected to mental harassment by her Bhanu Pratap Singh, who keeps her away from her six-year-old daughter.
Pooja also alleged that she was locked from outside in a room in the IPS mess in Patna. Not only that she was guarded by two female constables so that she could not appear before the media.
Pooja claimed that due to continuous and sustained mental harassment, she fell into a deep depression. During that time, six days ago, she consumed phenyl and was taken to hospital in Patna.
Pooja claimed that when she went to meet her husband after treatment, she was not allowed to enter the official residence and was sent back.

Bhanu Pratap Singh is a 2021 batch IPS officer of the Bihar cadre. A native of Fatehpur Sikri, Uttar Pradesh, he holds a Master's degree in Hindi literature.
