Following spate of molestation cases in the state including those in Jamui and Samastipur, DGP-incharge Preeta Verma has picked up 36 IPS officers and made in-charge of different districts to tighten law and order situation. All officers have been instructed to go to their respective district-in-charge and review the policing and law and order situation.
According to the directive, all 36 IPS officers will visit their respective district-in-charge between September 25 and September 27. During this time, officials will review law and order, police functioning and key matters in the district. After the review, officials have been asked to submit their report to DGP in-charge Preeta Verma.
The senior IPS officers include ADG, IG and DIG level officers. ADG Law and Order Suhita Anupam has been made in-charge of Patna district while DG R. Mallar BG has been made in-charge of Nalanda, ADG Amit Kumar Jain in-charge of Vaishali and ADG Sudhanshu Kumar has been made incharge of Darbhanga. ADG NH Khan has been asked to review Muzaffarpur while ADG Dr. Kamal Kishore Singh has been given the responsibility of Samastipur. ADG Paras Nathhas been given the responsibility of Munger and ADG Ajitabh Kumar has been made in-charge of Gopalganj.
Apart from that, several other officers have also been given one district each for reviewing the law and order situation.

Officers to review by staying in the districts for three days
According to the instructions of the police headquarters, all the officers in charge will go to their allotted districts and review the policing there. During this time, officers will take into account law and order of the district, working style of the police officers and status of important matters. Following that, officials will have to submit their review report to DGP in-charge Preeta Verma.
