Soon after the suspension of beleaguered IAS Sanjeev Hans was revoked, the state government posted as additional member of the Board of Revenue.
The 1997 batch IAS officer Sanjeev Hans, who served term in judicial custody for being accused in a multi-crore money laundering case and was also accused of gang-rape, is part of an IAS reshuffle that has seen 16 officers rejigged in the state.
Hans, who is considered close to chief minister Nitish Kumar, was earlier posted as the principal secretary in the energy department when he was arrested by the Enforcement Directorate in October 2024 on allegations of money laundering and corruption linked to irregularities during his tenure overseeing power sector tenders.
In October 2025, the Patna high court granted conditional him bail.
Among other officers transferred included N Vijaya Lakshmi of the 1995 batch, who was appointed as additional chief secretary of the Planning and Development Department.
K Senthil Kumar of the 1996 batch was named the principal secretary of the Sugarcane Industries Department.
Pankaj Kumar of the 1997 batch was appointed as the principal secretary of the Rural Development Department, said the notification.
Narmdeshwar Lal was appointed the principal secretary of the Agriculture Department, and Vinay Kumar the principal secretary of the Urban Development and Housing Department.
Prem Singh Meena was named the commissioner of the Munger division, Manish Kumar the commissioner of the Saran division and Girivar Dayal Singh the commissioner of the Tirhut division.
