The Kota police intercepted Bigg Boss OTT – 2 winner and YouTuber Elvish Yadav on the Suket-Kota road. The police after confirming him to be Elvish Yadav spoke with Noida Police before letting him go.
Elvish Yadav was booked by Noida police on Friday for allegedly running an organised group that sells snake venom at rave parties in the NCR. Yadav was booked on the complaints from People for Animals (PFA), an organisation that works for animal rights and is run by Sultanpur Lok Sabha BJP MP Maneka Gandhi.
Kota police let Elvish go as Noida police said that the crime of Yadav is still not verified and he is not wanted in this case.
“We have so far not found any criminal history of the accused from whose possession snakes were recovered,” said Noida DCP Ram Badan Singh.
According to Kota police DSP Kailash Chand, Elvish was intercepted in his luxury car along with three other people on Suket road. Elvish told police that they are coming from Maharashtra.
“When we informed Noida police, they said that the crime of Elvish is not verified yet and he should be set free. So we let him go,” said Kailash Chand.
Earlier Maneka Gandhi had said that her organisation has had an eye on Yadav for a long time. “He was using snakes frequently in his photos and videos. These pythons and cobras are endangered species. You must understand that cobras, when they lose their venom, die… if somebody uses these snakes, there is a punishment of seven years,” she had told reporters.
