Man from Kerala nabbed in digital arrest case related to professor-wife of RAS officer

have arrested a man from Kerala in a cyber fraud case related to wife of an RAS officer posted in Ajmer, Rajasthan. The police have recovered ₹3.5 lakh out of ₹7.5 lakh siphoned of by the culprit. 

The accused Mohammad Ismail CK (29), son of Nafees, a resident of district Kasargod is XIIth pass. He had worked in Dubai earlier and was in constant touch with fraudsters in abroad. 

A few days back the accused Ismail digitally arrested Ruchi Mathur, wife of RAS officer Hemant Swaroop Mathur, who is posted in Revenue Board, Ajmer as additional registrar. Ruchi Mathur is also working as professor in home science at Sophia College, Ajmer.

The accused posing as CBI officer threatened Ruchi Mathur of arrest. He told Mathur that obscene messages have been received from a number issued in her name. He also threatened her in framing into case and told that her husband (Hemant Swaroop Mathur) would be suspended. Under pressure and fear, Ruchi Mathur transferred ₹7.5 lakh in the account number given by the accused. 

The police, after lodging the , tracked the money trail and caught the accused in Kerala. The accused was using the bank account of her sister. The police is investigating the case to nab his other accomplices and recover the remaining amount.
