Rajasthan chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma is betting big on mining and tourism sectors to boost economy of the state. He said that mining and tourism sectors are the two growth engines of Rajasthan's economy and development.
“We should explore more possibilities of progress in these areas,” he said while reviewing the status of MoUs signed during Rising Rajasthan Global Summit held last year, which yielded a record MoUs worth Rs 35 lakh crore.
Sharma directed to organise pre-summits on mining, petrochemicals and tourism before the Rising Rajasthan Partnership Conclave, which is being scheduled in December, as a follow up of the last year's global summit.
He also instructed to conduct a comprehensive survey to detect minerals present in different areas of the state.
Sharma said that Rajasthan is also progressing rapidly in the tourism sector. Tourists from all over the world come here to see the splendour and glorious history of palaces, forts, havelis in the state. There is lot of scope in heritage tourism in the state.
“Havelis of Shekhwati are our heritage and it is our responsibility to protect them. The sector can be further strengthened by developing these havelis from the point of view of tourism,” he said.

Preparations on for Rising Rajasthan Partnership Summit
The chief minister also reviewed preparations for organising the proposed Rising Rajasthan Partnership Conclave-2025 in Jaipur in the month of December.
“The conclave will go beyond investment and help forge government-business tie-ups and showcase Rajasthan's business reforms. It will also showcase the socio-economic impact of investment in Rajasthan,” officials informed chief minister. department.
The partnership conclave will also give impetus to government-businesses partnerships, take the dialogue forward in key business sectors, promote skill building and showcase the state's business reforms accelerating the industrial development.
The chief minister directed officials to conduct special sessions based on youth, women and farmers at the conclave while organising one district one product related exhibition at the same time.
Expedition land allocation
The chief minister directed officials to expedite other works, including land allocation so that all MoUs materialise on the ground in a time-bound manner.
He said that in case the land is not available at the desired location, investors should be shown alternative land in the surrounding area.
Sharma said that every single investment MoU is important for the development of Rajasthan. The implementation of even low-investment MOUs at provides employment to many people at local level and such small investments together form the basis for large investments.
He directed district collectors to regularly monitor the ground breaking of such MoUs and said remain in constant touch with the investors.
