As many as six IPS officers of 1995 batch have been promoted as Special Director General from Additional Director General at Level-16 in the pay matrix. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of Home Ministry.
Sandeep Khirwar, IPS (HY:1995), who is serving as ADG, CRPF has been appointed as Special Director General, CRPF. Similarly, Puneet Rastogi, IPS (TR:1995), serving as ADG, BSF has been appointed as Special Director General, BSF.
Satish Shriramaji Khandare, IPS (AGMUT:1995), serving as ADG, BSF has been appointed as Special Director General, BSF by restoring the temporarily downgraded post of Special DG.
Padmakar S Ranipse, IPS (OD:1995), serving as ADG, CISF has been appointed as Special Director General, CISF on in situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post held by Ranipse.
Rajesh Kumar, IPS (AGMUT:1995), serving as ADG, CRPF has been appointed as Special Director General, CRPF on in situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post for a tenure of two years from the date of assumption of charge.
Jag Mohan, IPS (BH:1995), serving as Additional Director, Intelligence Bureau (IB) has been appointed as Special Director, IB.
