Taking a firm stand, Rajasthan High Court warned state government to take a decision on SI Recruitment -2021 paper leak case by May 26, 2025.
Justice Sameer Jain, while hearing the case, said that if a decision is not taken by the government, those involved in the process may have to face consequences.
Earlier, the state government's Additional Advocate General Vigyan Shah (AAG) moved the plea in the court stating that the government had called a meeting of the sub-committee on May 13 to decide on the recruitment.
However, many ministers could not attend the meeting due to Operation Sindoor while one minister of the committee could not arrive due to him being unwell.
“Now the government will hold meeting of the sub-committee on May 21. Whatever is decided, the court will be informed,” Shah said.
In the previous hearing, the Additional Advocate General in the High Court had said that the government had not reached on any conclusion yet. On this, Justice Sameer Jain's court had said that the court is giving one last chance to the government, which should inform its decision by May 15.
On February 21, 2025, the High Court had given the government two months to take a decision on SI recruitment.
