Collector-SP conference called off, Rajasthan govt withdraws additional charge of Shaheen Ali

The has withdrawn additional charge of additional director general of – officers training academy – given to Shaheen Ali Khan within 3 days. Khan is currently serving as director Rajasthan State AIDS Control Society.

The charge was given to Khan on October 10, 2025 in view of the all-important Collector-SP Conference to be held in presence of union home minister Amit Shah.

“Now that the conference has been postponed due to busyness of Amit Shah, the charge has been withdrawn,” said a senior official.

The charge now has been given back to Jai Singh, an RAS officer who had been handling this charge as an additional responsibility for quite some time. Singh is currently serving as executive director in Rajasthan Medical Services Corporation Limited (RMSCL).

Why Khan was given additional charge of additional director general HCM RIPA?

Shaheen Ali Khan is an IAS officer of 2015 batch. He had previously served as additional director of HCM RIPA from February 2024 to September 2024. He had prior experience of organising such important conference.

Also, HCM RIPA does not have a full fledged director general. Sreya Guha, a 1994 batch IAS officer, who is serving as additional , is having it as an additional charge along with another additional charge of director general of Indira Gandhi Panchayati Raj Sansthan.

“So the state government decided to bring in an IAS officer to ensure smooth organising of Collector-SP conference. Since Khan had prior experience, he was called in,” the official said.
