More skeletons are likely to come out of the cupboard in the Punjab Police DIG Harcharan Singh Bhullar corruption case. Sources in the CBI, which is investigating the case, has revealed that
4 IAS and 10 IPS officers from Punjab have been known to invest their black money in property.
“CBI will investigate this lead. The information probably has come out following raids on Bhupinder Singh, a property dealer in Patiala. It is believed that the CBI may present the names of these officers in the court during the appearance of DIG Bhullar on Wednesday,” said an officer. He said that the CBI may sought arrest warant of the property dealer.

Names of these officers can come out as soon as the CBI reports in the court. In such a situation, these about 14 officers will also come on the CBI's radar,” the official said.
According to sources, out of the 10 IPS whose names have come out, 8 are currently on field duty, while two are serving on less significant posts.
At the same time, the 4 IAS whose names are likely are somehow related to Mandi Gobindgarh.
CBI seizes illegal properties and money of DIG
The CBI had caught DIG Harcharan Bhullar taking a bribe of Rs 5 lakh on the complaint of a scrap dealer. After that, the agency seized several valuable goods including 2 kg of gold and Rs 7.5 crore cash from the premises of DIG Bhullar.
Interrogation of Bhullar revealed that he used to invest bribes in the property. Bhullar took the name of Patiala-based property dealer Bhupinder Singh during interrogation. CBI's interrogation revealed that not only Bhullar but many big officers of Punjab are spending their money through property dealers.
