IAS Anamika Singh seeks VRS, denied NOC for central deputation

Anamika Singh, a 2004 batch IAS officer from Uttar Pradesh cadre has sought  voluntary retirement (VRS) – 13 years before her formal retirement due in 2038. 

Anamika Singh is serving as Food . She has cited personal reasons behind her request for VRS. However, sources say that she decided to take an early exit from administrative service after the UP government declined her request for deputation to centre. 

Anamika had been on central deputation earlier

Anamika Singh had been on earlier from 2013 to 2018. She has held the post of Director in before serving on posts of under secretary and deputy secretary in school education and literacy. 

Considered as a competent officer, Anamika Singh's VRS request is being talked about in the bureaucratic circle. 

Anamika was transferred twice within span of 2 days

Last September, Anamika Singh's transfer was cancelled in a span of two days creating ripples in the . She was serving as secretary, environment, forest and climate change when she was transferred as commissioner of Bareilly. Within two days, she was again transferred as secretary food and civil supplies swapping position with Bhupendra S Chaudhary, who was serving as food commissioner.
