Indore Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dilip Kumar Yadav has been transferred while Additional Commissioner Rohit Sisonia and Executive Engineer Sanjeev Srivastava have been suspended in the case of deaths due to contaminated water.
Yadav, who was appointed as commissioner in September 2025, has been transferred as Deputy Secretary in the Panchayat and Rural Development Department.
Yadav is a 2014 batch officer. He has completed Master's in Public Administration from Rajasthan University before cracking UPSC examination.
Earlier on Friday afternoon, show-cause notices were issued to Municipal Corporation Commissioner Dilip Yadav and Additional Commissioner Rohit Sisonia.
So far 15 deaths have been reported by various media reports while the state government has declared 4 deaths in its status report submitted with High Court.
Along with this, three new officers have been appointed in Indore Municipal Corporation. Chief Executive Officer of Khargone District Panchayat Akash Singh, Chief Executive Officer of Alirajpur District Panchayat Prakhar Singh and Indore Deputy Transport Commissioner Ashish Kumar Pathak have been made Additional Commissioners in the Corporation.
