In a scathing attack on judiciary, Rajasthan chief minister alleged deep rooted corruption in judiciary and courts.
“Today there is huge corruption in judiciary. I have heard that the judge passes the same order which few advocates write for them. What is happening inside the judiciary? Whether it's lower judiciary or higher – situation is grave. Our countrymen should think ponder on this,” he told media persons.
Referring to the role of politics in appointment of judges, Gehlot said that he had also helped in appointment of judges in the High Court.
“We have seen that time also when chief minister used to give recommendation for the appointment of High Court judges. I was also minister. I was member of parliament also. We must have given recommendations and many must have fructified. But when they became judge, I had never talked to them in my life. I have my own approach,” he said.
