Rajasthan CS V Srinivas bats for solar power to overcome energy crisis, visits solar plant 

At a time when the world is grappling with fossil fuel crisis, Rajasthan Chief Secretary has sent a strong message of harnessing clean solar energy in the state. He put across state government's vision of promoting visiting a solar plant in Bikaner. 

The has reiterated its commitment for increasing renewable energy footprints. It leads the table with more than 42 GW of installed capacity. 

Srinivas, who is quite sensitive towards promoting use of clean energy and reducing carbon prints, visited a 1.25 GW solar plant set up by Avaada Energy Private Limited in Noorsar village. 

He said that the time has come when dependence over petroleum products and fossils for energy requirement should decrease. 

“We have abundance of solar power in our state. If we harness it to the fullest, we will never face energy deficiency. It's time for EV vehicles and clean energy. We need to focus for a brighter future,” he said.

Visit of solar plant relevant during energy crisis

The visit of solar plant was relevant at a time when the state government is already into fuel saving mode encouraging car pooling, cutting down on cavalcade and banning foreign trips.

Srinivas said that the state government will support the cause of renewable energy and would supply power across the country. He delved deep in the used in generating solar power in the deserted land parcels. His quest for going deep down in detail, showed his administrative prowess. 

Srinivas was accompanied by PHED Principal Secretary Hemant Gera, Bikaner Zila Parishad CEO Shailja Pandey and Bikaner SDM Mahima Kasana
