Retired Aam Aadmi Party Politician and Civil Services Coaching Guru Avadh Ojha joined hands with Yoga Guru Ramdev, who has ventured into highly competitive civil services coaching sector, starting Patanjali IAS Academy.
Ojha, who quit politics after losing Delhi assembly elections last year, will head the academy.
The academy, situated on the sprawling Patanjali campus near Haridwar, aims to produce hundreds of IAS and IPS officers with a strong value system. It will train hundreds of aspirants annually.
The Patanjali IAS Academy's environment will help reduce depression and anxiety among students, providing a positive energy boost. Ojha added that the academy will have faculty comparable to the best coaching centres in Delhi.
The Patanjali Group has diversified into several sectors over the years. Its FMCG business has remained in the spotlight and reportedly recorded a turnover of around Rs 40,000 crore in the financial year ending March 2026.
With its latest venture into civil services coaching, Ramdev reiterated the goal of academy is to produce “good” civil servants. Regarding the fee structure, he stated that aspirants already registered with Patanjali University will pay less than Rs 1 lakh at the IAS coaching facility. However, the tuition fee for outside students will be slightly higher, around Rs 2.5 lakh. Additionally, there will be attractive scholarships for meritorious students, ranging from 80 to 100 per cent.
