Six IAS officers in Bihar get new assignments

In yet another reshuffle, Bihar government transferred six senior IAS officers including new postings for the Deputy Commissioners (DDCs) of Nawada and Kaimur .

Ujjwal Kumar Singh, a 2011-batch IAS officer serving as Director of the Animal Husbandry Department, has been transferred as Special Secretary in the Rural Development Department. 

Shrikant Shastri, a 2012-batch IAS officer who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Director of the Animal Husbandry Department. It's been second transfer of Shastri within a week. He had previously served as the District Magistrate of Begusarai. 

Vivek Ranjan Maitreya, a 2017-batch IAS officer and former District Magistrate of Siwan, has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Information and Public Relations Department. 

, a 2018-batch IAS officer who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Director of the Secondary Education Department.

Similarly, Nilima Sahu, a 2021-batch IAS officer serving as DDC of Nawada, has been transferred and appointed Joint Secretary in the Health Department while Divya Shakti, a 2022-batch IAS officer and DDC of Kaimur, has been appointed of the and Prohibition Department.
