Devasthan in Rajasthan is a chamatkari department. A lot of miracles happens in this department. One of these is posting of a couple in this department that too at higher administrative positions.
Gitesh Shree Malviya is serving as Additional Commissioner at Devasthan department in Udaipur and his wife Seema Gitesh Shree too is serving as Chief Accounts Officer (CAO) in that department. This unique arrangement needs special blessings and that Ashirwaad is showering in Devasthan department.
The state government could not have done more miraculous than this. The Department of Personnel (DoP) has taken every care of their convenience. They can come to office together and go back to home together. But then question arises why DoP has selected only this couple to have the full blessings.
“This is something curious as well as serious. Here in this case husband (Gitesh Shree Malviya) as an Additional Commissioner in routine work becomes a part in putting up any financial proposal and the wife (Seema Gitesh Shree) as a CAO is there to examine that proposal and recommend. That is something questionable and fails to comply moral grounds,” said a senior bureaucrat, who did not want to be named saying that it's usual to post husband-wife in the same department.
There have been several instances when husband and wife are posted in the same city. But it needs special blessings to be have office chambers in the same department.
“Why this special treatment to this couple. Both belong to Udaipur and most of the time they have served in Udaipur only. But this is nothing wrong in the is arrangement then DoP should give us also the opportunity to work closely with my husband, who is also in state service,” said a senior state service officer.
When The BuckStopper contacted Gitesh Shree Malviya for his comment on this unique arrangement, he declined to speak and sent a WhatsApp message, “Maaf karo bhai Hamein.”
Who are Gitesh Shree Malviya and Seema Gitesh Shree?
Gitesh Shree Malviya is a 2011 batch RAS officer, currently serving as Additional Commissioner Devasthan department. A native of Udaipur, he is lucky enough to secure most of his postings in Udaipur and nearby Chittorgarh Dungarpur.
His wife Seema Gitesh Shree is more lucky than him as far as postings are concerned. She has had all her postings so far in Udaipur only. And cherry on the cake is that in her current posting, she can feel ‘home' at office with husband as her office colleague.
