Chief Secretary V Srinivas pats his team for winning national acclaim in good governance 

In the past couple of months, Rajasthan government has taken several initiatives, which have won appreciation and applause across the country. So much so that many states have shown intent to adopt such initiatives and schemes. 

Rajasthan Secretary V Srinivas shared this achievement with fellow bureaucrats following feedback from Secretaries and other top officers of Central government post his visit to

Srinivas said that development model and innovations in governance in Rajasthan are being appreciated at every quarter. 

“We need to implement administrative reforms to accelerate social welfare  schemes in the state,” he told officers.

Rajasthan government's monthly evaluation report on Compliance Reduction and Deregulation Initiative (CRDI) has also been appreciated at national level. It has significantly transformed business and administrative landscape in the state. 

Driven by the Cabinet Secretariat and DPIIT, these governance reforms aim to reduce burdens, decriminalize minor offenses, and accelerate the “Ease of Doing Business”.

“We need to ensure regular monitoring of this to accelerate ease of doing business in the state,” he said.

Srinivas said that initiatives like Gram Vikas Choupal, Gram Rath Abhiyan, Mukhyamantri Vikas Gram Abhiyan, Chandan Van, My Bharat and Raj Unnati have been acclaimed as excellent practices at national level. 

He directed the concerned officials to effectively document these innovations of the state government and prepare success stories so that other states may emulate the development model of Rajasthan. 

Inauguration of refinery 

Srinivas said that the state government should prepare for early of the   project, which was postponed after an unfortunate fire incident in the refinery premises a month back.  He also discussed promotion and proper alternative energy resources n view of energy crisis. He said that the government should work towards making 43,000 piped gas connections live with the support of city gas distributors, this month. 

CS directs to focus on PM's priority Gyan Bharatam Mission 

The said that Gyan Bharatam Mission is a priority project of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The mission is related to the digitisation and preservation of ancient texts and manuscripts in the state. He directed the Department of Arts and Culture, the Department of Sanskrit Education and the Directorate of Oriental Languages to carry out the work related to the mission on priority.
