A former IPS officer, Rajesh Kumar, was caught cheating during LLB first semester examination held at KMC Language University.
The university administration sealed his copy and gave him fresh sheets to complete the examination.
According to university sources, Kumar was caught using unfair means on Wednesday also. But the examiner and university administration didn't take any harsh action and gave him warning. But when he was caught cheating on second consecutive day on Thursday, the Proctorial board members seized his copy.
The university has adopted a zero-tolerance policy, and it is the first time the University is conducting a law examination.
Vice-chancellor Prof NB Singh said that the case of retired IPS will be treated as the case of any other student.
“For us offence is offence, whosoever is the offender. We have adopted a zero tolerance policy and we will abide by it,” he said.
