Inderjeet Singh, an IAS officer of 2010 batch from Rajasthan has been appointed as director in the ministry of culture, New Delhi, for a period of five years.
The appointment, made under the Central Staffing Scheme, was formally approved by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT).
Inderjeet Singh is currently serving as director and ex-officio special secretary, local bodies in government of Rajasthan.
An upright officer, Inderjeet Singh holds a Master's degree in Public Policy from Princeton University, USA. He has held several important portfolios including special secretary and commissioner department of information technology and communication. He has also served as managing director RIICO, a public sector unit responsible for industrial development in Rajasthan. He held this position in such a crucial time when Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit was on.
Over his decade-plus career in public service, Singh has gained a reputation for innovation, governance reform, and digital transformation across multiple domains in Rajasthan.
In September 2024, Singh was awarded the Silver Award at the 27th National Conference on e-Governance for the“Rajkisan Saathi Phase-II” initiative — a flagship digital service aimed at supporting farmers in Rajasthan through integrated platforms.
He is known for his contributions to digital public services, policy design, and industrial development.
During his one and a half decade service, Inderjeet Singh had been collector of Jodhpur, Alwar, Chittorgarh and Dungarpur districts. He is known for innovative approach in resolving social problems.
A graduate in electronics and communication, Singh has also always been a troubleshooter for the state government.
Inderjeet Singh's wife Neha Giri is also an IAS officer of 2010 batch. She is serving as mission director livelihood and self help groups. The IAS couple are considered as upright and efficient officers.
