Kishore Kumar, 2014 batch IAS of Rajasthan cadre, passed away after a prolonged illness. He was 57. His untimely death sent shock waves across administrative, social and political circles.
Kumar, promoted from state administrative service, was serving as Member Revenue Board, Ajmer. He was unwell for quite some time and was undergoing treatment at a hospital in Jaipur.
Kishore Kumar, fondly called as ‘Mama' in his Sindhi community, was a popular officer. He had served as Collector of Khairthal-Tijara among other key posts including Director, Aviation, Additional Commissioner Transport and Registrar Revenue Board.
