IAS Samit Sharma, who is secretary in-charge of Jhunjhunu, district, reprimanded officials n a review meeting and warned them of dire consequences if they are found indulged in corruption.
Turning heat on forest department officials, he rebuked them for allowing illegal cutting of trees.
“You have become absolutely shameless. You are cutting all the trees in collusion with police, which also have probably joined you in corruption,” he said.
Sharma said that wood are being illegally transported to Haryana despite being in the knowledge of DFO.
“It's shameful. I have already brought this in the knowledge of your DFO. Even then illegal transportation of wood is taking place. Careless and corrupt officials will be suspended,” he said.
Sharma also took on officials of transport department and mining department. He termed district transport office (DTO) as the den of bribery and corruption.
Warning mining department officials he said that if the illegal mining is not stopped, officials will be handed over chargesheet.
