Rajasthan chief minister Bhajan Lal Sharma has asked officials to prepare a detailed action plan for solar and battery storage projects signed up during the Rising Rajasthan Global Summit held in December last year.
He said that the state government is keen on establishing an integrated power corridor and adopting other innovations in the energy sector.
“We are working towards securing the battery energy storage capacity of about 6000 megawatt hours,” Bhajan Lal Sharma said while reviewing the MoUs signed up during the summit.
The state government has signed up MoUs worth Rs 28 lakh crore in the summit, which attracted record investment commitment of Rs 35 lakh crore. Out of that MoUs worth over Rs 4 lakh crore have already commenced groundbreaking.
Sharma directed officials to communicate with the investors on a regular basis and apprise them of the progress on their MoUs.
“Energy sector MoUs should also be reviewed at the Chief Secretary level on a regular basis,” he instructed emphasising on the need to fructify all the MoUs on fast track.
Chief Secretary Sudhansh Pant and senior officials of various departments were present during the meeting.
