Rajasthan DIPR continues to run on additional charge

Rajasthan 's department of information and public relation (DIPR) – the mouthpiece of government's work – is set to run on additional charge for some time. 

Archana Singh, a 2008 batch IAS officer, who is serving as secretary information technology and communication, has been given additional charge of secretary DIPR, vacated by Gupta, who has been transferred as Industries. Gupta while working as principal secretary in minister office also held the responsibility of principal secretary DIPR. 

Likewise, Sandesh Nayak, who is serving as special secretary to , has been given additional charge of commissioner and special secretary DIPR. The post of commissioner is being held as additional charge since the retirement of Sunil Sharma in April this year. 

Nayak, considered as a resulted oriented upright officer, will have to spend more time in DIPR sparing time from his CMO work. With protests and agitations happening across the state, the government should come up with strong communication.

“I have worked with Sandesh Nayak earlier. He works with objectively. So his working style suits every department he works. He must spare more time to resurrect the PR machinery of the government,” said an officer who had worked with Nayak earlier.
