Rajasthan government is tightening noose on irregularities in Rajasthan Government Health Scheme. Principal Secretary Medical and Health Gayatri Rathore said that the prescription and consultations must be signed and verified by the registered doctor affiliated to the concerned RGHS.
“It has come across that in some cases the prescriptions/slips of the beneficiaries are being prepared and signed by the junior resident or other personnel who are not being verified and certified by the registered doctor (RMP) affiliated to the concerned RGHS. This will not be reimbursed under RGHS scheme,” she said.
Rathore said that as per the new instructions, each RGHS prescription will be mandatory to be personally checked, verified and certified by the concerned empanelled physician with his signature and seal.
RGHS Project Officer Dr. Nidhi Patel said that the preparation of prescription, recording of clinical details or data entry may in accordance with institutional rules, but the patient's clinical findings, diagnosis, prescribed medicines, tests and treatment will be the ultimate responsibility of the concerned empanelled doctor.
“As per the new instructions, no other person will be able to sign or authenticate the prescription on behalf of the concerned physician,” she said.
Dr. Patel informed that the prescription, which has not been duly verified and certified by the concerned doctor concerned, cannot be treated as in accordance with the rules during the examination and recharge of the RGHS claim. She said that appropriate action will be taken as per the respective RGHS guidelines and the conditions of the empanelment.
