Two days after Diwali, Rajasthan government bursted transfer bomb moving 34 IPS officers including Jaipur Police Commissioner. Sachin Mittal, who was serving as additional director general personnel, has swapped position with Biju George Joseph, who had served as Jaipur Police Commissioner for more than 27 months across Congress and BJP governments. He has also been given additional charge of ADG police reorganisation and rules.
Mittal, a 1996 batch officer, had previously served on various posts including IG (ACB), IG (Jodhpur range), IG Jaipur (HQ), IG Jail and Jodhpur Police Commissioner.
Mittal is considered as an upright hardworking and honest police officer. He had also served as SP in districts including Bharatpur, Jhunjhunu, Sawai Madhopur, Dungarpur and Jhalawar.
Postings of Anand Srivastava, Rahul Prakash create curiosity
Anand Srivastava, who had been longest serving Jaipur commissioner and was serving as ADG Armed Battalion, has been posted on a newly created post of DG Special Operations. Rahul Prakash, who was serving as IG Jaipur (rural) has been made special commissioner (operations) in Jaipur Commissionerate.
Postings of both Anand Srivastava and Rahul Prakash are significant in view of these being specially created.
Apart from that, Govind Gupta, a 1993 batch IPS officer, has been transferred as DG ACB. He was serving as DG Jail – the post on which Ashok Rathore has been transferred.
Sanjay Kumar Agrawal, who was among the top three contender of becoming DG Police, has been transferred from Intelligence to Law and Order. He has also been given additional charge of DG Police Housing.
Dinesh MN who was serving as ADG Crime Branch has been transferred to Anti Terrorist Squad, Anti Gangster Task Force (AGTF) and Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF). VK Singh, who was serving ADG ATS and SOG has been transferred as ADG Law and Order. Singh has been given additional charge of ADG cyber crime and technical services.
Vishal Bansal who was serving as ADG Law and Order has been transferred as ADG SOG.
Hawa Singh Gumaria, who was serving as ADG State Disaster Response Force ( SDRF) has been transferred as ADG Crime Branch replacing Dinesh MN.
