Ahead of local bodies election, Rajasthan government has transferred 183 Rajasthan Administrative Service (RAS) officers including ADMs, SDMs and other field officers involved in polling.
The most significant face in the transfer list is Yogesh Srivastava, who was serving as Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma. He has been transferred as General Manager, GangaNagar Sugar Mills Limited.
Srivastava was the first officer appointed in the CMO after Sharma took over on December 15, 2023. Srivastava, who was serving as Additional Private Secretary to Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, joined CMO a day after Sharma sworn in.
Srivastava was the first team member of Sharma. He was the key person for appointment or any important work for Chief Minister. His dominance in the CMO continued for me and half years. Gradually his influence started fading in the CMO. For the past one year Srivastava was looking like his pale shadow.
The exit of Srivastava was not unpredictable or unexpected for people who were closely monitoring the activities in the CMO.
However, his ousting from the CMO has triggered several gossips in the corridor.
Mahaveer Kharadi, the President of RAS Association, who was serving as Principal APRTS, Tonk, has been transferred as Additional Commissioner Tribal Area Development – an area close to his heart.
Among other important transfer, Kalu Ram, who was serving as Special Assistant to Energy Minister Heera Lal Nagar, has been put on APO. Trilokchand Meena has been appointed as Nagar's SA. Meena has been transferred from the post of Additional Commissioner and Deputy Secretary of Panchayati Raj Department.
Pinki Meena, who was reinstated after her suspension while serving as SDM Bandikui has been transferred as Assistant Collector Dausa. She was first posted as Assistant Director in the Administrative Reforms and Coordination Department, Sawai Madhopur after reinstatement in June, this year. She was suspended in 2021 in the highway bribery case, reinstated following court orders.
