Dr Ravi Kumar Surpur (2004), who is serving as chairman of State Pollution Control Board, has been given additional charge of secretary information technology and communication. He has also been given additional charge of commissioner information technology and communication which Archana Singh was holding. Singh was put on awaiting posting order (APO) yesterday.
Sandesh Nayak (2011), who is serving as special secretary to Chief Minister, has been given additional charge of secretary department of information and public relation – a charge Archana Singh was holding. Nayak is als ready holding additional charge of commissioner in department of information and public relation.
Rajasthan government had to initiate changes post sending Archana Singh on APO. The reason is probably linked to PM's visit. Officials say that the technical glitch during the PM's visit cost her the post. There was technical problem twice. On one occasion the video streaming stopped and only sound was audible and the similar technical problem surfaced when PM was speaking with farmers.
”The action looks harsh. On such goof ups generally IAS officers are not penalised. Other senior technical officers pay for the glitch. But here the state government's decision is little harsh on her,” said a senior IAS officer.
