Ravikant tells to expedite completion of Pachpadra refinery

The much awaited refinery project in Pachpadra has been completed 81% with works of process units of the refinery attaining 90%. This was reveals in the review meeting of refinery project chaired by mines and petroleum principal secretary T. Ravikanth. 

“The remaining of the refinery should be expedited so that the project completes fast,” said Ravikanth.

The Rs 73,000-crore petroleum refinery at Pachpadra is coming up with a joint venture of 76:24 in favour of Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and government. Ravikanth said that the 9 MTPA refinery is the dream project of Rajasthan government, which is likely to generate revenues as well as jobs in the state. 

He said that the petroleum refinery along with the proposed petrochemical complex will produce bye products of petrol like polypropylene, Butadene, LLDPE, HDPE, Benzene and Toluene, which will pace up the industrial of the state. 

HPCL-Rajasthan refinery (CEO) Kamalakar Vikhar and the executive director of refinery Reji Mathew said that the company is working in the field of CSR with major contribution in education, health and infrastructure in Barmer.
