RTO Jaipur-II launches enforcement drive to check overloading

Regional Transport Office –  II – has created record of sort by earning Rs 2.31 crore from penalising 833 vehicles in 45 days from May 15-June 30, 2025. 

Transport Shuchi Tyagi directed officials to take strict action against vehicles violating rules and those overloading. 

“The drive was carried out 24X7 during those 45 days. We had clipped extra bodies of 800 vehicles seized for overloading. This has been the most effective enforcement drive so far launched by the transport department. There has been 90% drop in overloading after this drive,” said Dharmendra Kumar, Regional Transport Officer  Jaipur -II. 

The department will continue to launch such drives in future also to keep a check on vehicles violating rules. 

“This drive will be emulated in other districts of the state also. We got elective support from district , police, unions, mining transport associations and logistic firms for the success of this drive,” said , district transport officer, Jaipur -II. 

The Regional Transport Office, Jaipur – II in the past has launched several successful campaigns including drive against car bazaar, unauthorised bus body, unfit commercial vehicles and operation of vehicles with fake number plates among many other.
