IPS trainee at the National Police Academy in Hyderabad, Uday Krishna Reddy who attempted to commit suicide following allegation of sexual harassment by a fellow trainee, has come up with shocking revelation in a note which he had written before attempting suicide.
In the suicide note, the probationer claimed that he was in a romantic relationship with the woman trainee, who was already married but insisted on continuing their intimate relationship.
What Reddy wrote in the note?
Reddy claimed that it was the woman who had forcibly entered his room despite his objections and alleged that they continued to be in a physical and emotional relationship even after her marriage.
I, Uday Krishna Reddy and (woman) have been in a relationship since June 2025. Even after her marriage also, we continued to be in a relationship, physically and emotionally. She only came to my room (asked me many times in WhatsApp chats to open my room) and initiated a fight. I recorded them on my phone as evidence. In defence only I reacted to her, the video proof is there.”
He further wrote, “On 9.7.2016, she only came to my room telling she felt intense sexual urge. She only kissed me and hugged me without any consent. So I recorded it as proof and sent it to her husband, (name), because I told her earlier not to come to my room so many times.”
The IPS trainee further wrote that the woman subsequently “manipulated everything” and alleged that he had assaulted her, which, according to him, is “not true.” He also alleged that the complaint was filed after her friends instigated her further and sought action against the woman, her husband and two others.
Police said the allegations are under investigation and that further legal action will be taken based on the evidence collected.
What woman IPS trainee alleged?
In her complaint, the woman alleged that Reddy sent her sexually abusive messages on WhatsApp and made derogatory remarks about her before fellow probationers. She further claimed that he repeatedly accused her of being in a relationship with another trainee, pressured her to admit to it and verbally abused her.
She also alleged that Reddy forcibly accessed her mobile phone, compelled her to unlock it, examined her private chats and later took the device to his room, forcing her to disclose its password.
In another incident, she alleged that he wrongfully restrained her, forced her into his room, physically assaulted her, pulled her hair, attempted to strangle her and held a knife to her neck while preventing her from leaving. She also claimed that he threw packets of condoms at her during the incident. She further alleged that another assault took place on July 10, during which he attempted to touch her inappropriately.
Among the most serious allegations, she claimed that Reddy secretly recorded a private video of her without her consent and later sent it to her husband in an attempt to blackmail her. She also accused him of trying to damage her reputation by spreading false and derogatory information about her.
