In yet another reshuffle, Bihar government transferred six senior IAS officers including new postings for the Deputy Development Commissioners (DDCs) of Nawada and Kaimur districts.
Ujjwal Kumar Singh, a 2011-batch IAS officer serving as Director of the Animal Husbandry Department, has been transferred as Special Secretary in the Rural Development Department.
Shrikant Shastri, a 2012-batch IAS officer who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Director of the Animal Husbandry Department. It's been second transfer of Shastri within a week. He had previously served as the District Magistrate of Begusarai.
Vivek Ranjan Maitreya, a 2017-batch IAS officer and former District Magistrate of Siwan, has been appointed Additional Secretary in the Information and Public Relations Department.
Nitin Kumar Singh, a 2018-batch IAS officer who was awaiting posting, has been appointed Director of the Secondary Education Department.
Similarly, Nilima Sahu, a 2021-batch IAS officer serving as DDC of Nawada, has been transferred and appointed Joint Secretary in the Health Department while Divya Shakti, a 2022-batch IAS officer and DDC of Kaimur, has been appointed Commissioner of the Excise and Prohibition Department.
