Tehsildar flashes arms on social media, collector initiates probe

Tehsildar of Sangaria caught in a controversy and a probe is initiated after he put up a photo of his carrying arms on social media.

Tehsildar of Sangaria in Hanumangarh district Vishwa Prakash Charan has been caught in a controversy. The tehsildar put up a photo of his carrying arms on site, which created ripples across. People, taking objection of a public servant flashing arms on social platform, tagged the photograph to Bhajan Lal Sharma and sought suspension and arrest of Charan.

Hanumangarh collector has taken cognisance of the episode and has asked additional district magistrate to investigate the matter. The matter is related to conduct of public servant. A probe will set up further course of action.

Charan, however, removed the post from the social media after the fiasco. But he posted another post, which says, “Chahe kitna bhi acchha kaam karun kuchh logo ko dikkat ho hi jaati hai. Wahi dikkat mere Anand ka karan hai. 

(How much more I do good , people find problem. That problem is the reason behind my happiness).

Tehsildar Charan was given charge of SDM

Two days ago collector Kanaram had given charge of sub divisional magistrate to Vishwa Prakash Charan as SDM of Sangaria Prabhjot Singh Gill, who is an RAS officer, was transferred and the post was vacant. 

Superintendent of Police Hanumangarh Dr Rajeev Pachar said that action will be taken as per law.

“The matter is being probed by ADM. We will take action after the investigation report,” he said. 

Charan showed door to MLA in past 

The tehsildar Vishwa Prakash Charan had been in controversy earlier  also. He had entered into argument with former Sangaria BJP MLA Gurdeep Singh Shahpini over the issue of crop damage. I the heat of moment Shahpini told him to ‘Get Out' of the meeting. In response, the tehsildar also asked him to go away. 

The BJP had created ruckus and demanded removal of Charan.
