Test of grit for collectors of districts bordering Pakistan

As Rajasthan is on red alert after Operation Sindoor, which destroyed 9 terror camps in Pakistan, collectors of four bordering districts are up on their toes.

The 1,170 km border covering five districts – SriGanganagar, Bikaner, and – is sensitive with Army movement gearing up. The nearest base for Army and Airforce -Jodhpur – also gains immense significance in view of war. 

Bikaner Namrata Vrishni, Barmer collector Tina Dabi, Jaisalmer collector Pratap Singh, SriGanganagar collector Dr Manju and Jodhpur collector Gaurav Agrawal have told all state government officials to remain alert. Leaves of all officials have been cancelled schools have been closed. 

“District administration has to work closely with Army and other forces to ward off any untoward incident. They have to make proper arrangements for disaster management. This is the test of officers,” said a senior

The state government has also geared up to meet any exigency emerging out of war like situation. Police and other intelligence departments have been alerted so that no internal lapse happens.
