In a devastating incident, a tiger killed a Forest ranger at Ranthambore in Sawai Madhopur.
The incident happened in Zone No. 3 of the Tiger Reserve where the tiger attacked the ranger's neck with teeth and nails and killed him brutally.
The tiger sat on the ranger's body for 20 minutes. Soon after attack of tiger, once again the Trinetra Ganesh temple road has been closed from May 12.
“According to information, Ranger Devendra Chaudhary had come to Jogi Mahal from Gudha Nake at around 3 pm on Sunday. He was also having the additional charge of Jogi Mahal.
“He was trekking near the Yagnashala in Jogi Mahal. During this time, the tiger attacked them near the Chhoti Chhattri. After killing the ranger, Tiger sat on the dead body for a long time.

After some time, foresters from the department came and drove away the tiger with much difficulty. Devendra was taken to the district hospital, where the doctor declared him brought dead.
After receiving information from forest officials, forest department officials reached the spot.
This is the second death in a month in a tiger attack in Ranthambore. Earlier, on April 16, Tiger had killed a 7-year-old child.
Devendra Chaudhary was the only child of his parents. He joined the job as a forester in place of his father about 8 years ago. Recently, he was promoted to the post of ranger. Devendra has a one-and-a-half-year-old son.
