After the massive restructuring in important departments like PHED, UDH, Energy, Mines, Tourism and Revenue last week, two more transfer lists are on the cards.
The first list would consist senior to mid level offices while second list would have name of junior officers.
This time Collectors of districts will change. While few will be interchanged, there will be some who would be brought to the Secretariat. Sources in Chief Minister Office (CMO) said that Collectors of border districts like Jaisalmer, Barmer and Bikaner may be given some other districts or assignments. Some corporations may also get new faces including municipal corporations.
Like the previous list, the upcoming lists will also bear the stamp of CMO. The team of Chief Minister is trying to put right officers in right place to speed up delivery.
He government will cross the half way mark in next few months and before going to the final lap, the BJP government would like to have to slate filled with some achievements and fulfilment of promises specially committed during Rising Rajasthan – the summit which attracted investment pledge of Rs 35 lakh crore.
“The CMO is geared up with Akhil Arora driving the initiatives. He has the clear mandate to accomplish the pending works. He is taking interest in removing obstacles in investment projects specially in the renewable sector,” said a senior IAS officer, who has recently been transferred.
The BuckStopper, run by a group of seasoned journalists, holds the powerful accountable. The buck stops with them, as they cannot shrug off their official responsibilities.
