The Ministry of Home Affairs has transferred IPS officer P D Nitya from the AGMUT cadre to the Rajasthan cadre on the grounds of her marriage with Rajasthan cadre IPS officer Pankaj Yadav.
Nitya, a 2016 batch IPS officer, has previously served as Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Leh and was currently posted as SSP Pulwama.
Pankaj Yadav, a 2022 batch IPS officer is currently serving as Asst Superintendent of Police in Bharatpur district.
Though Nitya is 6 years senior to Yadav in service, both shares the same year of birth – 1991.
