Singing videos of one former, one serving IAS officer set the tune

For Dr Samit Sharma, singing comes naturally. He had been seen on many an occasions specially in Independence Day and Republic Day, singing patriot songs. But crooning a melodious romantic song from Kumar Sanu's era, gave a rare delight to ears of aficionados. 

Sharma, a 2004 batch officer of Rajasthan cadre is currently serving as secretary to animal husbandry, fisheries and Gopalan department. 

Similarly, another video of a former IAS officer singing a soulful melody has been going viral on , having racked up lakhs of views in coupe days. 

Mittal, 2011-batch IAS officer who resigned from the civil service in 2019, is a trained Hindustani classical singer who cracked the country's toughest exam to become an IAS officer. 

An alumnus of Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) , Mittal joined Microsoft as a Principal Research PM and stayed at the tech firm for five years. In March 2025. However, Mittal left Microsoft to launch Disha AI, marking the start of his entrepreneurial journey.
